Things look a little... different?
You're not going crazy, dear reader. We have a new look ('brand', I hear the marketers calling it). A bit more grown up than the old one for sure.
This blog takes you on a whistlestop tour of what we've changed and why we changed it. Not into graphic design? Here are the new logos to look out for, so you're not surprised next time you hit our website, see us on LinkedIn, or stop by our booth at an event.
And please don't be surprised if you see some old-brand logos and docs floating around for a while. Who'd have thought a cloud-native software company would have so many PDFs to rebrand?!
Palette 4.6 is here
Our first big feature release of the year has arrived — for those of you running on our SaaS platform, you've already been using it for a week ??.
From edge to VM management, we've made plenty of enhancements, and caught up with upstream releases across dozens of K8s distros and other integrations.
You may not like it, but this is what peak performance looks like ??. Read all about the release in this blog.
New perspectives
Over at Infoworld, Bill Doerrfeld asks 'will Kubernetes ever get easier?' (and quotes our annual research, which is nice to see). He nails two of the issues that have been very much on our mind: one is the complexity of the cloud-native ecosystem, the other being how you deal with legacy VM workloads on Kubernetes. Definitely have a read of the article.

Speaking of VMs on Kubernetes, there's a truly epic white paper / blog on our partner WWT's site by Steve Younger - CISSP, CKA, CKS , called "Rethinking VMware: Reducing the Footprint, Not Replacing It". It goes deep into phased approaches that enterprises can take to move away from VMware towards K8s-native solutions like KubeVirt. Note that this article requires signup to view, but we assure you it's worth the keystrokes.
News from the community
Our friends at HPE have published a solution brief about our 'edge in a box' partnership. Put simply: Palette pre-installed at the factory on HPE hardware, for a seamless out of the box experience. Give it a read.
The AI wizards in our open source team have released a new model that's trained and optimized for solving Kubernetes issues, called KubeGuru. Try it out on HuggingFace.
Lastly, the OSS Kairos project keeps moving forward under the CNCF Sandbox banner, hitting version 3.3.1. If you need to compose image artifacts for your edge K8s projects, Kairos gives you the flexibility and security you need. Download and give it a try.
And that's a wrap. See you in a month for more.
