Things to know before you join the AI bandwagon

I would like to share some thoughts on developing a framework for Artificial Intelligence (AI) adoption, insights on funding AI programmes in the enterprises and Govt agencies and experiences in enabling a Water Utility in their AI adoption journey. Also, I answered the innocuous “What is Machine learning dad?” from my (then) 8 y.o ??

Framework for an AI strategy

Organisations across the board are embarking on an ambitious AI adoption journey. But where do they start? What should the organisations consider before / in early stages of adoption? What are the pit falls? How to develop a sustainable strategy? In this article, I have tried to explore some of these topics. This approach is based on personal experiences and research working with some customers in this space. Please do share your views and enrich it!

How to fund AI initiatives?

There is a well-defined mechanism (RoI calculators and such) to work out funding large tech initiatives like multi-year, multi-geo ERP programs etc. but does that work for AI? Is there a better way? If you are a business leader, business finance person or a CFO, or have funded AI initiatives, please share your experience / learnings in the comments section.

AI in Water: Aspects that water utilities need to consider before adopting AI

Water utilities are looking to deploy AI on the trifecta of enterprise, operational and remote sensing data to transform into a truly innovative digital utility, that is adaptive, predictive and always on. But the Water utilities need to consider three aspects before they take the leap of faith and jump into adopting AI.

Working from home with a curious kid at home involves answering lots of questions which sometimes we never think of / take for granted. This article captures my attempt at answering the innocuous “What is machine learning dad?” – Answering this question helped me understand and appreciate the work that goes behind some of the simple AI driven solutions like chatbots that we take for granted at workplace.
