Things I’ll Miss the Most
Now that graduation is exactly one month away, I am beginning to reflect on the best four years of my life. Attending Carolina is one of the greatest decisions I’ve ever made, and I wouldn’t change my college experience for the world.
Chapel Hill is a small, charming bubble of a college town. Even though I’m from Durham, I never visited Chapel Hill growing up, so when I came to college, it felt like I was in a new place, even though home was just 15 minutes away.
While I’m excited about new adventures, there are many things about this southern part of heaven that I will miss dearly.
Carolina’s beautiful campus
Whether it’s walking to class, sitting in the quad on a day, hearing the Bell Tower chime from miles away or sipping water from the Old Well, I’ll miss campus the most. Lined with rows of yellow tulips illuminated by the sun and flowering Dogwood trees, Carolina’s campus is truly a must see. Even when the going gets tough, especially during finals, our campus is a constant reminder of how fortunate we are to attend one of the best public universities in the nation.
Always having a friend nearby
I have yet to nail down my post-grad plans, but I’m hoping to move out of this area to a larger city in the United States. While a fresh start sounds refreshing, this means my friends will no longer be next door to lend a helping hand or provide support when needed.
