Things to do in France
France has been in the news a lot recently. And I am afraid not very positively. The sad events that unfolded in Paris and Nice left the entire world shocked and upset. France has always been popular for its French cuisine, Fashion and exotic locations. We wish it remains in the news for these reasons always and it never again has to face fear and trauma. France like any other European country is big on tourism. With exotic cities like Paris, Nice, Lyon, Rennes and Cannes, there is plenty to see and enjoy. Here are some of the top things to do when in France.
The Eiffel Tower, Paris
Lots of tourists travel to France for the sole purpose of witnessing the iconic and stunning Eiffel tower, located in its capital city of Paris. Over the years, the tower became a symbol of love and now is a popular spot for couples to visit. For the longest time, it remained the tallest man-made structure. Restaurants and observation decks make the wrought iron structure even more interesting. A selfie with the Eiffel tower in the background is a must do activity for tourists.
The Louvre Museum, Paris
The Louvre Museum is one of the most popular museums in the world mainly due its historic and fascinating collection of artifacts and paintings. Its most beloved possession remains to be the original Mona Lisa painting by the famous Italian artist Leonardo Da Vinci. The Mona Lisa painting needs no introduction. Other artifacts and paintings in the museum also hold great fascination. The Museum building in itself is very eye-catching.
Skiing in Val d’Isere
The Val d’Isere is the absolute perfect skiing and vacation spot for tourists looking for adventure, thrill and a great time. The restaurants and hotels here maybe expensive but they sure are worth each penny. So yes, you will not regret saving up for a few days in Val d’Isere.
The Blue Beach, Nice
Nice is known for its fun and exciting beach life. While there are quite a lot of beaches in the city, we recommend the Blue Beach, mainly because the food served there is divine and there are quite a bunch of activities to do. Some very nice hotels are located nearby as well.
The Loire Valley, Central France
The Loire Valley is a wonderful place to discover and one that many tourists always prefer visiting. The Valley is home to old towns, great architectural sites, orchards and vineyards. The best thing about this place is that the weather is lovely all year round. The Loire Valley is also part of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
The Plage de Saleccia, Corsica
Corsica is a must visit destination of France and so is the Plage de Saleccia beach. Its stunning turquoise water and soft sand on the beach is a delight for the visitors. It is an absolutely magical place and has been picturized in the film “The Longest Day”.
