Things to do in Boracay

The volume of tourism has increased until it receives more than 2 million visitors a year, a small island of 10 square kilometers but with one of the most beautiful beaches in the Philippines, White Beach.

How to get: Boracay is served by two airports with connections to major Philippine cities. Caticlan is the fastest option since the airport is only a few minutes from the departure of the boats for Boracay. Kalibo is the cheapest option and has connections with Asian cities. However, the airport is 1.5 hours from the port.

What to do in Boracay

Boracay's White Beach

With four kilometers of white sand and turquoise waters, Boracay's White Beach is undoubtedly one of the best beaches in Asia. In it, all the tourist activity of the island is concentrated. From sunrise to dawn, there are many options to enjoy this paradisiacal environment.

Early in the morning, with the first rays of sun, the first tourists come out to see how the day dawns, while those who have enjoyed the night take the road to their hotels. The beach is at its peak at mid-morning, with bars and restaurants, hammocks, and tourists sunbathing. The magical moment of the island is the sunset, when the sun illuminates the island with pink tones, and the horizon swallows the daylight to start the night activity.

Its four kilometres of sand are divided into three stations that outline the target of travellers:

? Station 1: It is the northernmost stretch of the beach and the one with the best accommodations, mainly luxury resorts that open onto White Beach. At dusk, the bars serve their cocktails, and it becomes an area with a lot of tourism.

? Station 2: The busiest of the three and where there are mid-range accommodation, hostels, restaurants, shops and nightclubs.

? Station 3: South of White Beach, this is the quietest area to stay, although it also has some activity, it is less than in the rest of the stations.

Other Boracay beaches

White Beach gets all the tourists' attention, but it's not the only beautiful beach in Boracay. For this reason, we want to highlight other beaches.

Puka Shell Beach: Puka Shell Beach is located in the north of the island, and is a quiet beach with no accommodation where you can get there by tricycle or walking. As its name suggests (shell), the beach has many spiral-shaped shells that adorn the arrival path. Some stalls serve drinks, and unlike White Beach, Puka Beach has a very hippie and friendly atmosphere.

Diniwid Beach: Diniwid Beach is another beach to visit. It is located between Puka and White Beach and is characterized by being a small beach protected by a cliff. You can get there by crossing the most local part of the island.
