There is no such thing as failure

In our courses, one of the most important frames we teach our students is to learn to reframe their concept of failure.
Many adults don't feel safe to take action in new situations as a result of our school system. The world of 'right' and 'wrong'. Being afraid of 'making a mistake'.
So people sit stagnant in inaction and stunt their own potential for growth.
Many people are afraid to take action because they're afraid of failing.
And in doing so, they fail in the face of inaction.
When one of my favourite female business leaders Sara Blakely (founder of SPANX and the first self made female US Billionaire) used to come home from school as a child, her father would ask her and her siblings to tell him what they failed at that day. They became immune to the concept of failure. They became accustomed to taking action and getting feedback.
Because in reality, there is no such thing as failure - only feedback.
I think it's far scarier not to take action.
So. Today embrace taking action.
Because what's worse?
Not trying?
Or taking action and getting feedback.
