Take your phone, go to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter or what ever platform that you can think of and you will see that there are tons of people recommending their best ways of diet, best ratios, best amounts, best this, best that... Though, is there really such thing?
NO.
First of all... being best is a factual thing. Lets say for example in weightlifting competitions, in order to be the best you need to reach X amount of total weight lifted...Period. If you are at 202.3kg you are second. If you are at 202.4 you are first and that is just fact. Simply because 4 is bigger than 3... there goes your gold medal.
Now, with dieting, you have so far dozens of allegedly best diets... low this, high that, no this, no that.
What I have against this kind of approaches in dieting? Well, simple fact that this vast of choices is going to be, most likely, misleading to majority of people who are just starting and as well can harm them in long run (long run is the point).
Long story short: Best diet is the one that you can stick to, provided that it will not cause any harm to your body in long run.
In general, our body is all about homeostasis where it is essential to have it balanced when it comes to fluids, minerals, temperature, pH, blood glucose and many more.
This homeostasis can be severely damaged by applying wrong diets at wrong times.
Homeostasis is a dynamic and vital process that involves multiple systems and mechanisms working together to maintain stability. Its regulation is crucial for health, as disruptions can lead to various health issues. Understanding homeostasis highlights the body's incredible ability to adapt and respond to changes, ensuring optimal functioning and survival.
Again, for example, someone who needs to reduce body weight can not have the same diet like someone who needs just body re composition in a sense of fat loss.
Some of most common types of diets are:
Paleo: A diet based on a belief that it includes everything to be eaten as it is in nature and has been used by early humans.

Vegetarian: Excludes meat.. but can include eggs and dairy.
Vegan: Excludes all animal products.
Mediterranean: Inspired by the dietary habits of people in the Mediterranean region.
Low-carb : Used mostly for people who want to loose weight. Carbs restrictive diet.
Atkins: As well low carb diet, that later includes re introduction to carbs.
Ketogenic: A low-carb, high-fat diet that induces ketosis, a state where the body burns fat for energy.
List is much longer than this, but here we can get a sense of what the key points are.
Examples again... Saying to a diabetic that low carb diet is the best in the world, might sometimes have sense, but on the other hand saying that to someone who wants to build muscle mass and gain weight will never make any sense whatsoever and it also might cause some other psychological issues.
Different diets serve different purposes and may be more or less suitable for individuals based on their health goals, preferences, and medical conditions. It's important to choose a diet that is sustainable and balanced to ensure long-term health and well-being. Consulting with your person of trust can give you sustainable results and direction, but again, at the end of the day self education is THE MOST IMPORTANR piece of your health.
