ThinCre8 - Write to Captivate

ThinCre8 4.0

At times you don't find the real motivation to write, yet connecting the dots and your learnings you can still create. That's where you #ThinCre8!

Here's some questions that every writer must ask:

  • Where do good ideas come from? - I am sure they are inspired from somewhere, or something popping right in front of your eyes or your thoughts or intuition.
  • Should sentences and paragraphs be long or short? - This too depends on what's popping up in your thoughts, the context and requirement.
  • When should rules of grammar be obeyed, and when should they be stretched? - Depends on for whom you are writing, what's your TA and where are you going to present.
  • Why does one piece of writing succeed and another fail? - The impact that it creates on the reader and how it hooks and intrigues them or serve the very purpose for which it was intended.
  • How can you look at your own work and judge it fairly? - Make yourself likable, get feedbacks, improve with permutations and combinations.

Whether you are a content writer writing an article or a blog, a student writing a paper, a copywriter writing an ad, a businessman writing a letter or an email, a reporter writing a news story, an influencer writing a social media post, an author writing a short story, novel or a non-fiction book, here are the 9 ways to improve your #writing when you are not writing.

  1. ?????? ???????? ?????????????????? ?????????? - You now don't need a separate dictionary, encyclopedia or a thesaurus and other reference books, Google and latest AI companions are enough to fulfil all your requirements in just a few clicks and prompts. Fact checking, Statistics, and infographics you need, along with grammatical editors are all available in forms of various tools. You only need to know the right tools and techniques to handle them.
  2. ???????????? ???????? ???????????????????? - When you hear or read a new term, find its meaning and try to use it in your conversation as often as you can. ??????????? ???????? ???? ?? ???????? ???????????????? ???????????????????? ???? ?????????????? ???????? is a great resource. For a writer the most important vocab is not the one that will take in uxorious tomorrow or a soubrette next day yet the one the writer simply has. You already have it within you. The only way to make your vocab more accessible is ???? ?????? ????. ???? ?????? ???????? ?????? ????????? ?????????????????????? ?????????? ?????????????? ???? ????? ?????????? ???? ???????? ?????????? ??????? ?????? ???????? ???????, ?????? ???????? ???????? ??????? ???? ????? ?????????? ???? ???????? ?????????? ???????????? ?????? ???????? ???????. Pause before you write or speak, then insert these good neglected words. A great idea is to pick up anything around you or that captures your attention and see how many synonyms you can think of. Eg. there's a house over there, yet it can be a dwelling, an abode, a building, a bungalow, a cottage or a hut. Similarly, it's a home for someone, headquarter for some, a shelter or a structure, too.
  3. ?????????????? ???????? ?????????????????? - Good spelling is forming the right mental associations and developing an eye for words that look a little wierd. When in doubt, refer a dictionary or Google it. Like you don't write desert when you have to write dessert or principal in place of principle or stationary when you need to write stationery.

Here's a list of 50 ???????? ???????????????? ???????????????????? ??????????:

50 Most commonly misspelled words

4. ???????? - Reading opens up your mind to wide horizons of knowing how experienced writers are creatively infusing humor and context, turning the jargons and complexities into more meaningful and understandable way. You'll learn to write leanly, or precisely or fitting the talk into a single sentence. Reading detective novels and fiction will give you an idea on creating curiosity or building suspense. Read to understand how the writer connects his points with the references, scientific evidences, quotes from other books, researches, surveys or reports.

5. ???????? ???????????????? - Take guidance from someone experienced, who is actually writing and publishing stories, articles or books. There are lot of specific courses that you can enroll. An experienced writer will make you aware about the industry norms, rules and syntax of writing. You can read lot of content and tips of writing over internet or books, yet a teacher can help you locate your blind spots (errors and faults.) You will also learn with your fellow students more while competing than any other way.

6. ?????????????????? - Listen to the conversations secretly anywhere around. Sometimes you get to know great insights be it from teenager conversations or experienced professionals or simply people all around. At times you will find yourself unaware of the latest slangs or industry jargons or abbreviations. You will develop an understanding of the commonly used language and terms.

7. ??????????????? - Many face writer's block, a situation where your mind goes blank what to write next. It's when you lack information, you haven't gone through a good research. What you are wriitng must be backed by some resource, it must be factual or whether its actual. A fact check is required before you quote something. You need to have gathered more information than you need to go a free flow into writing. Fact checking can be done via: accessing books from libraries, asking or interviewing experts, asking from the best informed people. Conducting an experiment or a survey is another way to collect real data, your own observations or speak with a reference librarian. When collecting data and statistics there are several research firms already studying and publishing well researched reports, take references from the most trusted ones.

8. ?????????? ???? ???????? ???????? - Write in your head is a technique of organizing your though well before you start writing. Once you are clear in thoughts, you are half way done. You only need to dump your thoughts on paper. It's like pushing a play button on a pre-recorded tape. You can write in your head while brushing your teeth, or during your morning walk, while driving to your office or even think or research about the perfect slang or a quote during time pockets or breaks.

9. ??????????? ?? ???????? ?????? ?????????? - The hardest thing to write or do any other task is to get started. Choosing time, place or context will fuel in motivation once you find yourself in that perfect context, even when you don't feel that motivation in the beginning. Once you begin the momentum will creep in and you will find yourself in a flow state. You need to carve an appropriate block of time and peaceful atmosphere to eliminate distractions. You can't write for 10 minutes and do another thing or scroll on social media and get back for another 10 minutes. Writing requires deep work and focused thoughts. You need to check when can you sit peacefully for an hour or two or sometimes even more. Many great writers, artists and scientists, who have gifted masterpieces to the world, have been found locked themselves from the outer world for hours. Many such stories are documented in books on focus and deep work.

Hope these 9 nuggets will help you get started on your writing journey and write effectively.
