The Thief of Time: A Parent's Perspective

Hello Nanny!? Founder & Investor | Empowering Families to Reclaim Time & Balance with Trusted Support
How can parents delegate work at home to ease the burden of an already busy day??
From the moment we wake up, the list of daily "to-do's" immediately comes to mind. If lucky, we get to the shower and morning routine before our children wake. Before we know it, we are getting the kids dressed, packing lunches, forcing breakfast down, and then hurrying for the car line. You run to your favorite coffee place and take that first sip. Ahhhh... that first sip feeling is like a breath of fresh air. Although some parents are full-time caregivers, and their morning scene may look different, for those with the luxury of "going to work," even if it's your home office, it is a slice of solitude and adult interaction for most. The ability to work is something that I do not take for granted.
A recent article by 麦肯锡 showed that juggling childcare and work responsibilities can be overwhelming.?Many working parents face pressures to balance work and home life, yet employers often struggle to provide adequate resources and support. As a thought leader in the nanny, working parents, parenting, and family support space, it's essential to address this issue head-on by exploring how employees can request and access the necessary benefits. In the meantime, you can learn how to leverage your flex spending account when paying your nanny or childcare provider. GTM Payroll & HR is a trusted resource Hello, Nanny! uses for tax-related childcare benefit questions.
Here are SIX helpful tips to help you find balance:
1. Identify tasks that can be delegated to kids or other family members ( is age two too young for chores - asking for a friend ?? jk )?
2. Prioritize and create a realistic schedule - time blocking is key.?I personally love Calendly for managing my calendar and time blocking.
3. Grocery shopping can be an activity with the kids, or when you're pressed for time, you can order your groceries for the week through Instacart or Thrive Market .

4. I don't know about you, but I would rather watch the paint dry than fold laundry. If you're like me you can leverage a laundry service like Rinse . I tried out the service myself and utilized the time I saved with my kids. Get $50 off with our Hello, Nanny! Discount Code
5. Take breaks throughout the day - including some fresh air, a bike ride, or a gym class you love. Don't take it from me; read about how endorphins alleviate stress. I make time for my health and fitness at Life Time Inc. Members receive 2 hours per day of childcare. I did the math, and it's worth its weight in gold. Remember: self-care so you can be thoroughly checked in with the kids. According to Harvard Business Review : quality time is what matters .
6. Ask for help from friends, family, and even Hello, Nanny! your very own boutique nanny agency if needed!?
