Why the Healing Path?

To recover faster than expected is what anyone who has had an accident or a fall hopes for. It happened to me at age 56. I had four fractures from a cycling accident, a collar bone[clavicle] and three ribs] and returned to work in health care at the end of 8 weeks.?

While no two paths will be the same, it is my intent to offer my healing path to empower others who might be worried because they have been told it will take longer to heal for various reasons and, especially, because they are older. It definitely wasn’t true for me and maybe it won’t be true for you.“

How Theta Healing works with your own Energy

Exploring alternative healing methods might seem self-destructive when you are recovering from an injury. But what if one of those approaches simply works with your own energy? What if this method asks you to learn how to deeply rest and relax, become sensitive to your own energy levels and work with your pre-sleep state, called alpha, to reach your subconscious mind and activate a deep healing?


None of these ideas seemed too rebellious to me. If it could accelerate my recovery, why not test it? Moving my own energy is no different than an exercise class. And, it doesn’t conflict with existing therapies or treatments. Following expert medical care and advice, I explored relaxation as therapy and how energy could work with my own healing path.

Guided Theta Healing sessions.

I listened to a scripted theta healing session that was one hour in length. [ Choose a length that works for you. You can find many shorter sessions online.]The music was soft and the voice was low enough to force me to listen and tune out everything else. Here I saw myself perfectly heal my fractures and move forward with excellent health and vitality. I could feel myself relax, move my energy like a lava flow through my body, my arms, fingers, torso, legs and toes. Then, using my imagination, I could imagine myself healed faster than expected and become increasingly stronger.


Alpha- states.

In the beginning I lost my place and fell asleep. But since the objective was to tap into my pre-sleep, alpha state, it made sense to see this as a success as it was intended to reach my subconscious mind. The idea that it is possible to program the subconscious mind to go to work and accelerate it’s healing path while one is in a deep, rested state seemed intriguing. If this experiment didn’t work, I would have, at least, been able to allow my body to rest and relax.


Body-energy awareness.

Over time, I noticed my sensitivity to energy in my body had increased and I was able to listen and detect areas where the energy felt blocked and where there was resistance.


For what it is worth, using meditation and visualization were more important for me for shifting my physiology. This was mentioned in earlier articles and this science has been verified by NASA scientists in 2010. They proved it is possible to visualize and create physical improvements without physical practice. Theta healing on the other hand, seemed to be another medium to work with to heal my energetic body on an entirely new level.


Re-establish energy flow after a Break.

If you see a fracture as a break in a nerve pathway, a disruption of circuits, it makes sense to re-establish that connection physically by mending the break but also energetically, by reviving the neural links and the flow of energy throughout the body.


The thought that healing the body with its own energy might seem odd and rather woo woo to some. But it has been used for centuries by many cultures to evaluate health status.


Tune into your own Frequency.

If you have had an accidental fall, I encourage you to investigate this. There are many versions of theta healing online. Choose the one that resonates with you. Some of the voices might not soothe, and the background sound might work in direct opposition to helping you relax. We are all different and in some ways, this will help you to tune into your own frequency, like a radio dial on the right channel so to speak. Once you find one that intuitively feels right, test it. Listen once a day and experiment with it as part of your healing path.


The experience of theta healing shifted my perspective on how I was healing. It allowed me to relax more deeply and learn more about what felt right at the moment in my own healing journey. It worked alongside other care without interfering with the healing path that was recommended by a specialist.


There are many layers to our existence beyond body, mind and spirit. My accidental fall opened a new gate of understanding. This article was created to offer a perspective that might be new and might offer you something to consider.
