Thermomix or Airfryer

Thermomix or Airfryer

When it comes to convenient and healthy food preparation, people tend to fall into the thermi or air fryer camp.

We have both in our household.

And to me they both feel like magic. The thermomix has built in recipe prompts and provided you follow the bouncing ball, you get an awesome result. Where's the fun in that you ask? Well, when it comes to cooking my skills are sub standard and I'm looking or the easiest solution, whilst also trying to be healthy.

The air fryer produces the most tasty delicious FRIED meals with a fraction of the fatty content. How is this even possible?

I reckon several decades ago, our grandparents were equally enthralled by microwaves. My grandma never had one claiming, "I don't trust that it isn't giving me radiation poisoning".

The kitchen of the Jetstons is not as far away as you might think. Here's a round of time saving options that are just around the corner:

  • Smoke free smokers the size of a microwave.
  • Generative AI connected to a griller to get the perfect flavour and style (rare, medium, well done) every single time.
  • DIY Icecream in a matter of seconds at the push of a button.
  • Cocktail machine that works like a coffee maker. Drop in the capsule and badda bing badda boom, instant martini.
  • And an upgrade to your airfryer. Put the food in, press start, and the fryer uses AI to detect the type of food and does the rest.
  • What about a robot barista that mimics the way a human behind the counter of your favourite coffee shop might prepare your usual order. Add in a bit of facial recognition and your order will be prepared as you walk through the door.

With all of this in place, even the worst cook (me) can produce amazing food.

Like any new technology, there will be those among us that prefer "the old fashioned way" and that's the beauty of this. It creates even more choice for when and on what you decide to spend your time, attention and energy.

Thermo! ?? I actually did the math on time saved (when I first got mine) and worked out that it paid itself off within 6 months. ??
