There’s never 3 points to play for…

There’s never 3 points to play for…

Over the last few weeks, I’ve been sharing with you the importance of having a?purpose?and encouraging you to revisit?your?WHY.

If we don’t remember what we really strive for, then we’ll lose sight of why we do, what we do…

And we simply keep running on that hamster wheel, harder and faster, but not moving any further forwards.?

Jacki Norbury , and I (plus the twins of course!) celebrated our why on Sunday, as it was what would have been our daughter Lou’s 13th?birthday.?

I was fortunate enough to have played in?Sands United Farnborough FC’s?football match where they dedicated the game in memory of Lou.?

The main?purpose?of Sands United FC is to enable families to come together through a shared love of sport and find a support network where they can feel at ease talking about their grief when they’re ready.

There is never three points to play for, or cup finals to play in.??There is simply a desire to make our angels and families proud every time we play, and every match means the world to us all.

(Of course, we still play to win!).?

The weekend was also a timely reminder of how fortunate we are to be in the position to help communities and charities continue the good work they do.??As business owners, we get to decide how?we can have a positive impact on others, so all proceeds from sales of?‘I don’t work Fridays’?are donated to Sands.??We also donate £300 for every successful referral we get.?

So, keep up the good work your end…

And if you’ve not yet nailed your purpose or want a sounding board on how you can have a positive impact on causes or communities (because it’s not just about the financials) then you know where we are.?

BW,

Martin?
