On Friday Dec 11, 2020 the US Supreme Court rejected the election lawsuit filed by Texas vs. Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin seeking to overturn election results.
Beau of The Fifth Column is an independent journalist I've been following on YouTube for a while.
For me, he is a gold standard for fiercely independent journalism. A truly important voice and perspective in these tumultuous times. Clear thinking. Articulate. Knowledgable. Utterly fearless. No malice. No cheap shots. A+ citizenship.
Beau's Saturday Dec 12th video commentary on the supreme court decision resonated with me, as it accurately connected some jumbled up thoughts in my head. So here's a partial script—1.25-minutes segment—of his video clip.
Excellent scripting!

There are a whole lot of people who have been had by this president.
He's good at branding; he's good at rallying people.
He's not good at leadership. And he doesn't understand this country; he never did.
He understands creating emotional reactions.
That's why there are so many people at this moment who say they're defending the Constitution, while they're actively attempting to undermine it.
If you are still in support of this man, you need to take a step back. And you need to look at all the times the experts said one thing, and he said something else. And who was really right?
Also you need to take a look at your beliefs in 2015 or 2014, before this man got his hooks into you. And see if they lineup with today. Or see if you have betrayed them. Because “Dear Leader” said to.
That’s where we are at.
There’s going to be a lot of people who are going to have to do some soul searching. And determine where they stand on issues.
Do you support the constitution? Which in this case means siding with the Supreme Court.

Let’s talk about Trump, the Supreme Court, and the Constitution…. Dec 12, 2020

Conflict Resolution: A Strategy of Respect & Empathy–with Examples from History. Delivered on August 1, 2017 to Cyfair-Houston Chamber of Commerce
How did some giants in history transition FROM implacable foes locked into very different histories TO An Epic Reconciliation?
1. How did they avoid continuing to the point here they no longer cared if they destroyed each other?
2. By using a strategy—and harnessing the power-—of respect and empathy.
3. By upholding their dignity in a way that compelled all around them to respect them.
