THERE’S A FINE LINE BETWEEN,’THY KINGDOM COME’ AND, ‘MY KINGDOM COME’!

The passage, ‘Nebuchadnezzar made an image of gold, ninety feet high’ (Daniel 3:1), reminds those of us who, though we’d never throw someone into a fiery furnace, tend to seek worship in more subtle ways, exaggerate on our CV’s, put down others behind their back and tell white lies to hide the grey areas of our lives that, indeed, we all have a bit of Nebuchadnezzar in us. So let the knowledge that: 1) Two things define the fall of King Saul, he built an altar to the LORD and set up a monument to himself; 2) Those who build monuments to themselves think little of themselves and the more insecure they are, the more monuments they need to build; and 3) There’s a fine line between ‘Thy kingdom come’ and, ‘My kingdom come’; teach you to stop trying to fight your own battles, creating your own opportunities and establishing your own reputation!FG. www.fgtalks.com
