There's no emergency stop button in Life!!

Life has been compared with a roller coaster again and again….some curves and loops are very long and curvy and some very short. The ride is going to go its own way, regardless of how tightly you grip the bar. There is a thrill in simply surrendering to the ride and fully feeling the ups and downs of it, letting the loops and curves take you rather than fighting them. When you fight the ride,  getting panicky, scared, stressed and resist what’s happening at every turn, your whole being becomes tense and anxious, but when you surrender and go with the ride, accepting what you cannot control, freedom and joy will fill you up. 

Similarly, the ride of life’s roller coaster will go its own way. The Divine sitting up there has designed the machine and he is in control. You can’t just scream STOP and get off the ride. It is not always easy to let go, even of the things we know we can’t control. Most of us feel a great discomfort with the givens of this life, one of which is the fact that much of the time we have no control over what happens. When the curve is taking you down, always remember, it will soon be going up too. The only valid excuse you have to give up is if you are dead, and the divine hits the stop button. As long as you are alive you have HOPE. The journey from start to stop will surely have many many curves and loops…Get used to them….they happen!!  When you have given your hundred percent to a situation and it’s not happening….surrender….Maybe God has better plans for you!!! Grip the safety bar…..scream your heart out and let the ride go…….
