There’s Always Room for Improvement
“There is nothing noble in being superior to someone else; progress is becoming superior to your previous self.” This line from The Daily Reader really resonates with me. It’s very in line with my approach on business and life. I do my best to regularly visit each of employU’s programs, tasks, and processes, and ask how we can make them a little better. When I consistently look at things with this perspective, I often find we are in a much different place in just six months. There are noticeable improvements and growth, which is something to always take pride in. With this approach, I can ensure that we always progressing and outdoing ourselves time and time again.
It's also beneficial when I've used in my personal life. It improved my relationships with family and friends, my health, and my self-image. When I work on these a little bit each week, I continue to grow as a person. It's certainly not easy to stay focused all the time and I frequently fall off. But doing things like reading John C. Maxwell's book keep bringing me back so I can continue working to be better, again and again.
How do you push yourself to grow and become a better version of yourself?
