There’s Always More Than One Way To Move Forward. Or Is There?
Dr. John Loblack
Increasing the confidence and competence of new and emerging leaders
If you are a speaker, coach, trainer, or consultant, you must be bombarded with offers from “expert” speakers, coaches, trainers, and consultants who are going the extra mile to convince you that they hold the keys to your success.
The same applies to experienced, new, and emerging leaders. At every turn, there's some "expert" imploring you to go this way or that way.
They are doing all they can to convince you that their road to success is the only road to success. If you give them the time of day, they’ll rob leave you naked.
Their mastery of persuasion might entice you to buy what they're selling, I want to discourage you from diving in without thinking, and thinking again. Do your due diligence and read the “fine print” before investing your time, effort, and money on their panacea.
There’s always more than one road to success, to effective leadership.
Remember, what works for one person may not work for you, especially if you try to apply before you modify. Hence the reason you must be judicious in your decision making.
Remember, “There are many ways of going forward, but only one way of standing still,” Franklin D. Roosevelt.
