, 22.8% of US adults experienced mental illness, and 5.5% experienced serious mental illness.
- Rising suicide rates: Suicide rates have risen by about 30% since 2000

- Increasing symptoms of depression and anxiety: Almost a third of US adults
now report symptoms of either depression or anxiety, roughly three times as many as in 2019.
