Therapy, Coaching, or Healing: How to Choose What’s Right for You.

Many people feel uncertain when deciding between therapy, coaching, or healing. With so many options available, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. The truth is, it’s not about finding the "perfect" technique but rather about finding the right person—someone who resonates with you on an intuitive level. Trusting that inner voice and taking the leap can be the most transformative step in your healing journey.

A helpful way to understand the different approaches is by looking at the three levels of our being where we often feel fragmented: body, mind, and spirit. Each level holds a different kind of pain, and each responds to its own form of support.

1. Body: Healing at the Subconscious Level

Before we fully develop a sense of identity, much of our subconscious is stored in the body. Traumas from early childhood or pre-verbal stages don’t always make sense to the rational mind but are stored as physical sensations. This is why some of our deepest fears can feel completely irrational.

Have you ever noticed that even when you understand something logically, it doesn’t always bring emotional relief? That’s because the body remembers what the mind doesn’t.

Somatic work or regression therapy is highly effective at this level. These practices help release emotions stored in the body without needing to recall specific memories, making them a powerful way to heal deeply embedded wounds.

2. Mind: Healing Limiting Beliefs

As we grow, we develop stories and beliefs about ourselves and the world. These beliefs shape our thoughts and behaviors, often trapping us in limiting patterns. This is where we feel stuck between our imagination and reality, and where we experience mental roadblocks.

To heal at the mind level, we need to reframe these stories and question the narratives we’ve adopted. Coaching, cognitive therapy, and mindfulness-based practices are especially helpful here, as they empower us to break free from limiting beliefs and make choices that feel more aligned with our true selves.

3. Spirit: Healing at a Deeper, Existential Level

At the deepest level, healing is about reconnecting with something greater than ourselves. Feelings of disconnection, purposelessness, or existential confusion often signal a break at the spiritual level.

Spiritual practices, meditation, and transcendental work can help us reconnect to a higher sense of purpose, helping to heal the disconnection we feel from life or the world around us.

Trusting Your Intuition When Choosing Support

When deciding between therapy, coaching, or healing, it’s important to remember that it’s less about finding the right technique and more about finding a practitioner who aligns with your intuition. Someone who resonates with you will be able to guide you in reconnecting with yourself.

Depending on where you are in life and the challenges you face, you might feel drawn to different kinds of inner work. Many practitioners blend body, mind, and spirit healing intuitively, weaving together multiple approaches for deeper transformation. The key is not to overthink it—trust your intuition, and take that leap of faith.

Deep down, you already know what kind of support you need. The hardest part is often trusting that inner knowing and acting on it.

My Approach

In my practice, I blend mind and spirit healing. I help clients move from confusion to clarity by decluttering their thoughts, challenging limiting beliefs, and guiding them to process emotions they may have been avoiding. This creates a pathway for them to move from fear and hesitation toward confidence and joy.

While I’ve naturally integrated some body-level healing into my work, I’m now exploring somatic practices more deeply. It’s an exciting new area for me, and I look forward to incorporating it further into my approach.

Taking the Leap

When you’re ready to make your choice, listen to that quiet inner voice. The right practitioner for you will be someone who feels right on a gut level, regardless of the specific methods they use. Taking a leap of faith is far better than staying stuck in endless deliberation.
