Have you ever been present physically somewhere but your thoughts seemed somewhere else? Have you ever had some thoughts run through your mind that takes you away from the present? These type of thoughts seem to bring the past back to the present or seem to bring the future to the present.
In any case, you are not physically present where you are and all you thoughts does is to take you to that imaginary world where all you can see our emotions or what could have happened if you were either in the past or the future.
The present is all we have. The past is gone and the future is yours now in some hours or days to come. Come to think of it, your current present was a future you have longed for and now that it is here, all you want to do is to seek another future. Whatever the case may be, always seek to be present in all that you do. Now is all that you have.
That does not mean that you would not think about what happened in the past, or what you hope to happen in the future. What you have to do is to make the best use of all that you have around you now hoping that tomorrow comes with great rewards for your actions today.
You do not really have to figure everything out before you begin to be in the present. The idea that everything is not figured out is what makes the present most important. How then can you plan for something that is not certain while you have what is certain right in front of you right now?
The next minute is not certain, the next hour is not certain. Your past experience might not have been the best experience ever. So that means all that you have is now to create the best version of yourself. Whatever happens, remember that all you have is NOW.
Some people are currently seeking to have what you currently have. Some people only seek to have the situation you are currently in, but why then would you not make the best use of it.
Seek to be present in your everyday task and continue to pursue greatness. Greatness lies in the use of all that you have NOW because NOW is all that you have.
