Them: "We do not want you!"

So whenever I walk around in this 'walkable' city we now have, I usually find myself recalling some of the rejection emails I am always accustomed to by now. And yes, I always receive them. (I know right, it is a surprise for me too ??)
But in all seriousness, I have been receiving so many rejections left and right it sometimes surprises me that I only talk about the good opportunities, I have the chance to experience in the short time of professional work I do. And I wish I could say I would not take it to my heart and feel it, but I do (I am really tempted to say "like a man" ?? ). And one of the things I really feel proud of doing is how quickly I let it go and kept on applying.
I try to actively accept that regardless of my efforts, the thing that is supposed to be mine will always find its way to me, and is something I truly believe in. And that is even if I thought this was the only opportunity that is going to help me in my journey (Quick tip: there is no such thing as one opportunity only). And no, they are not saying; "We do not want you!" but actually, you are not the right candidate we are looking for (It is really not that personal, unless it is, and if it is, I am sorry??).
The picture you see is one of the few opportunities, I was expecting to be accepted since I thought I was a perfect fit for it, but guess what, I am not part of the 5%. Did it hurt, (obviously NO????) but actually, h*** yea it did! And the only way I am planning to get over it is by crying about it through my article...(Sorry dear reader, I know you were expecting to be mesmerized by my amazing achievements of how I overcame them...well ?????...)

So the moral of the story is that it is okay to fail, be rejected, and even rebuild from the ground up! Falurity is only defined by you, no one will define it for you (if you won't let them). Then don't dare feel like you have failed, since at the end of the day, as one of my new annoying friends says Kiburan Kibret "it really isn't that deep!"(Congratulations you made it to my article Kib). So let us all take a deep breath and keep on pushing through, because you are always the person who writes your story and if you have a path in mind, you have the responsibility to break the barriers and killing to see it through.
And if you have reached here, you're already capable of persevering, now make them ask how you started thriving despite your story! (Please quote me on this, I heard that's how people become famous ??)
For all readers who reached here ???? ????? and please do not share my disappointment to anyone... (or else...)

6 个月I am with you on this Jodahi! It stings when they reject you from that seemingly perfect opportunity but if I have learned one things in my short and humble career journey it is as you said what is meant for you will find you. Also we should promote Kib to his seemingly deserving Guru status because truly it's not that deep ??

6 个月Your reflections really resonate with me! Despite the fear of disappointment, the reality is you’ll never know unless you try. I admire how you acknowledge the pain but keep pushing forward, believing that what’s meant for you will find you. As you said, "failure is only defined by you." Let’s take that deep breath and keep pushing, knowing each attempt is part of our journey, leading us to something great!
