That's a wrap for ENT101 Fall Semester 2024

13 weeks, 31 students, 7 entrepreneurial ventures - it’s been another amazing semester leading ENT101.04 at the Derby Entrepreneurship Center at Tufts University (DEC). This term, we were inspired by so many amazing contributors:

- Matthew Cillis from Bitwarden

- Chris Gardner from Underscore VC

- Jason Burke from TBD Angels

- Katie Butler for Distractive

- Our amazing final pitch judges, Dan Greenberg and Alison Conway

Many thanks to you all for your generosity with your time and efforts to help develop the next generation of entrepreneurs.

And, of course, thanks to the students whose teams tackled “grand opportunities” (inspired by the Spot-Probe process developed by Ramesh Raskar of C10 Labs) in areas ranging from digital literacy for immigrant communities, to legal assistance for student renters, to scaling student support with virtual TA’s. Lots of hard work, creative problem solving and innovation on display.?

Members of the Foo(d) Fighters being outcome-driven!

We’re back in January for ENT101 Spring 25. If you’re interested in getting involved, reach out! We’re always excited to welcome guest speakers, pitch mentors, judges. I’m also always looking for recordings of great pitches from other startups (this year we watched some brilliant pitches from MITdesignX - thanks Gilad Rosenzweig!). If you have a video of a pitch from a competition or demo day, or would be willing to make a Loom video of your pitch, please contact me! It really helps the students to see how others approach sharing their entrepreneurial vision on a tight time limit!
