That’s All I Need

That’s All I Need

Overheard this conversation between a doctor’s receptionist and one of his patients.

As the patient set up her next appointment, the nurse asked, “Do you need a reminder card?” “Yes, the card will do. I will place it on my refrigerataor door with a magnet as a reminder to inform me when my next appointment with the doctor is.”

The receptionist replied, “That’s okay. We'll call or email you a reminder if you give me your phone number and email address. Which do you prefer?”

The elderly patient, with a hint of resignation, replied. “The card will do. I don’t have a cell phone and know nothing about the Internet.” A refrigerator door and a reminder card would be all she had.
