That's all folks....

That's all folks....

In just over 2 weeks on the 9th July I close this chapter on my HighQ journey. It will have been 3568 days since I started at HighQ. I remember my first day on the 3rd October 2011, walking into the office on Great Tower Street, like it was yesterday.. An office of 8 people all focused on growing this business, which had immense potential. Little did I know how the next, nearly 10 years would play out.

I will forever be indebted to Ajay, Veenay, Sav and Stuart for allowing me to join such an exciting, not-quite start-up, legal tech company, trusting me to get shit done, allowing me to help shape the product that exists today and help grow and support our customers across the globe. Thank you.!

I started as a solutions consultant, a title designed to cover almost any situation.. implementations, product management, customer success, support, consulting, on boarding new clients, workshops, pre-sales, account management, social media, marketing, booth monkey and more.. Simply put you needed to be agile and get shit done whilst putting the customer first. Over the years each of these roles became formal teams and to this day I have remained focused on our products and importantly our customers.

In nearly 10 years I have been lucky enough to travel extensively. I count many of our clients I have met over the years full of firm friends, many of my colleagues like family (I’m the grumpy uncle nobody likes) and the Publisher product my baby still, even though it’s had 3 foster parents in the last 6 years. A massive thank you to everyone (friend/family/customer/client/colleague/animal/mineral) who made HighQ what it is today and created an environment that I have loved.

They say you need a little bit of luck to be successful in business… It felt for many years HighQ didn’t need luck – we had an amazing group of people, we had the platform and a laser focused customer centric strategy that made things seem easy.

I could write a book with all the stories from over the years. However it would likely never be published due to the volume of swear words and other redactions, but I could write it and look back with immense fondness of my HighQ journey... Hard work, fast paced and challenging BUT full of opportunities and plenty of laugh till you cry moments and a few (maybe more than a few) beers.

Being part of the HighQ journey since the 3rd?October 2011 has enriched my life immensely. I have learnt so much, grown personally & professionally and before Stu says it and my waist size, and moving on is hard but it now feels the right time. I am lucky to get to spend the summer with my family, decompressing and carefully thinking about what to do next..?

So whilst it's the end of an era for me... I'm not disappearing. If you’d like to discuss opportunities, #legaltech or #lawtech in general, product management, start-ups, scale ups, or my current favourite topic, customer success then please reach out, I’d love to chat and share my experiences and potentially add value to the next HighQ...

I once said, I probably bleed HighQ blue... I probably always will.

Thanks...
