That’s ?erific!
Pardon the unabashed pun on the above caption’s closeness to my name. Well, most of us desire to be Terrific sometimes!
Here’s sharing the “me” beyond the office and what spurs my off-work interests.?
Golf Golf Golf
It started out as a way to reach out to customers to get the business. In my earlier days, the nightlife didn’t resonate. To keep myself "accountable", golf ended up as my weekend past time to stay outta “trouble”. I must have memorised the layout of various golf courses in Singapore and Johor Malaysia by heart!?
Golf shaped my gumption for strategy and calculated risks. My trustworthy lefty Callaway set has since followed me to different corners of the globe for over 2 decades. To the legendary links courses in the UK, Down Under and our honeymoon golf game at Tanah Lot in Bali Indonesia and quite a few courses in between. Both my children enjoy golf too!

Run Run Run
I am a happy runner for over 2 decades as well! To keep my joints healthy, I mostly run on soft ground at the MacRitchie Reservoir or by the beach. Here’s a tip: A lot of my solutions are strategised during these runs. When in doubt, slip on the trainers and speed up!
Go Tell It On the Mountain
I caught on the trekking bug much later and it was mainly to fulfill a childhood curiosity. Since then, trekking stuck on. The views from each peak after days of physical effort is always rewarding!

Snow-Ski, Scuba-Dive and More
Snow skiing is a must-have for many years. In fact, it was one of the “criteria” to accept the marriage proposal from my better half. Thankfully, he obliged!
I savour the tranquility of the under sea. Marine life fascinates me and conserving these is a conviction on my personal agenda. I have an Advanced scuba diving license that has gone rather rusty and I can’t wait for my kids to grow up so we can dive together as a family.
Truth be told, I am both an outdoors and indoors person. Deep at heart, I am really a homebody who adores classical music, plays and appreciate art. My favourite subject in school was Art and I relish getting lost in art galleries and museums. That’s both Picasso, Michelangelo and various notable artists in between.
About Life in General
I learned a lot from people around me, mostly not by them telling me directly - by observing them.
What I learned from the 95-year old Nonagenarian, more here.
Nowadays, I am inspired Not as much by successful people than I am by people who go out of their way to be Kind.
What’s Next??
I volunteer in small ways at selected charities for some years. Currently, I am preparing to serve as a teenage counsellor to reach out to “troubled” young adults. I have a personal agenda on this – I needed the experiences to understand my 2 children better as they veer towards teenage awakening!?
I am a growth-driven Strategic Doer with extensive APAC experience, managing businesses to double-digit growth.?Know me professionally, ?? ?erific
