My LinkedIn feed chronicles the challenges to get a job in this economy. It also lays bare the partisanship that is all around us. I am reminded of domestic and international issues all the time, sometimes it is hard to remember that I am not reading a newspaper.
I ask you to take a moment to appreciate Thanksgiving. It is one of the few holidays that has no religious overtures, it can be celebrated by everyone. It's simple message is also profoundly important, take a breath, acknowledge, give gratitude. Breaking bread with folks, sharing bounty and the harvest contributes to a civil society. We have much to be thankful for, and we have a day set aside to do just that-Thanksgiving.
This year I am thankful for the medical community's advances that allow me to continue to be active and live fully. I am thankful for the support and encouragement I got when I needed it. I am thankful that our table is full of tasty food. I am thankful that I can contribute to food banks so that others can have a holiday table also.
What are you thankful for?
#Givethanks, #Thanksgiving2024, #Takeabreath
Very well-stated, Roz. Thanks for sharing: I think we all needed that??
