The countdown is on - who will be the real ‘world’s first mass produced’ humanoid robot? After Agility announcing their first factory in Salem Oregon, with plan to produce 10,000 units per year, Fourier Intelligence is claiming they’re already in production and on track to deliver 100 robots this year, with more to come. Needless to say, there are a couple of other quieter competitors in the wings and I, for one, can’t wait for this year’s IEEE Humanoids conference in Austin TX, where 5 out of 6 (so far) of the world’s top humanoid robotics companies will be present.
And btw - the Chinese humanoid robot serving food at hotpot restaurant that is apparently ‘dividing the internet’ on TikTok? You’re welcome.
@discover_gz Do you think she is a real person or a robot? A restaurant owner in China plays the role of a "robot" serving food to customers. Netizens exclaimed that the master is among the people.
