Thanksgiving Feast

Thanksgiving is the time for gathering with loved ones, expressing gratitude, and indulging in a feast of traditional dishes. Stepping out of your culinary comfort zone can add an exciting twist to your Thanksgiving celebration and create lasting memories for years to come.

Beets are often overlooked in holiday cooking, but they are a powerhouse of nutrition. Loaded with fiber, antioxidants, folate, and vitamin C, beets offer both? health benefits and unique, slightly sweet flavor that can balance out other dishes.

This Thanksgiving, introduce Beet salad to your Thanksgiving Feast:

Beet Salad

Ingredients:

3 medium beets

3 Tbs mayonnaise

3 Tbs sour cream

? cup walnuts, chopped

2 garlic cloves, pressed

1 Tbs parsley, chopped

Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions: Cook the beets in a large saucepan with plenty of water until they are very soft (45-60 min). When the beets have cooled enough, pull off the skin and grate the beets. Combine grated beets with mayonnaise, sour cream, nuts, garlic, and salt & pepper to taste. Garnish salad with nuts and parsley. Chill for at least 1 hour for flavors to meld together.
