Mount Nittany Health is taking proactive measures in response to the ongoing national shortage of IV fluids caused by Hurricane Helene’s impact on Baxter International, one of the country’s largest IV fluid suppliers. While Baxter’s production facilities are gradually coming back online, the shortage is expected to continue through the end of the year. Our medical and clinical teams are working closely to conserve IV fluid usage while maintaining the highest standards of patient care. We are closely monitoring supply levels and will keep the public informed about any changes that may impact care. We are hopeful that we can avoid any postponements of scheduled procedures. Thank you for your support and understanding during this time. For more information, visit: https://ow.ly/Rg3b50TJIku
