The definition of Thanksgiving is an expression of gratitude especially to GOD. Its also an annual holiday we celebrate on the fourth Thursday in November to commemorate the harvest festival celebrated by the Pilgrims in 1621. I have fond memories of past family gatherings. This time of the year, the harvest was done, hog's slaughtered, cooler weather and days shorter.

Thanksgiving was a welcomed break where we stopped, took time to thank God for our many blessings and enjoyed fellowship of family and friends. There was always lots of food, games & yarning at our house on Thursday and at grandma's on Saturday.

I hope this week you and your family relish in the pleasant memories of yester year, make new ones and express your gratitude to GOD.
