With U.S. Thanksgiving upon us, it's time to to reflect on what we're most thankful for. Pipeline. And great leads. Who turn into more pipeline. While most see the holidays as a barrier to sales, the smart ones know it's an opportunity.
Is it really possible to flip the bird and turn the holidays into an opportunity to generate more business and develop better relationships with the teams we rely on? Yes. And yes.
Let's break it down and have some fun while we're at it.
Send Prospecting Emails on Thanksgiving Day ??
Haters gonna hate, but I say the holidays are a perfect time to drop an email into your prospect's inbox. Instead of being 1 of 200 emails they get in a day, this is your chance to be 1 of 20. And your prospect may end up seeing your email as a welcome break from that awkward family discussion about vaccination policies.
"Sorry everyone, just gotta respond to this email... for the next hour... with a cocktail"
RajNATION and I debate this topic in this week's episode of Full Funnel, our weekly Sales News and Tips show on the Sales Feed network that breaks down 3 hot topics in the world of B2B sales in under 10 minutes, every week. Check out the BOFU section of today's episode starting at 5:13, or watch the whole thing if you're extra hungry for sales tips (very high VPM - Value Per Minute):

Send Thank You Letters to Marketing, Legal, and More ??
When was the last time one of your co-workers sent you a genuine thank you letter? Or even a thank you email? Well, 'tis the season to share your appreciation and to build those relationships with people you're going to depend on to hit your number.
In my first episode of Sales Thank You Letters, see some examples of how not to do it:
You may have detected a small hint of passive aggressiveness above. Which may work for Tom in Sales, but likely not for you. Instead, try sharing your genuine appreciation for the great work that they do to help you achieve your goals. There's gotta be at least one thing that Marketing has done well this year, right?
Use Year-End to Create Urgency with Prospects ??
Out of the Thanksgiving oven and into the December Holiday fire. End of year is both an exciting and stressful time for sellers. So many opportunities, so much quota to fill. In a recent episode of what is now your favorite weekly sales news and tips show, RajNATION breaks down how to turn that "reach back out in the new year" response into "let's get this deal closed by the end of the December!" Head into the BOFU topic at 5:45 of the episode below for tips on how to fill up your sales stocking this holiday season:
And that's a wrap!
Now go flip that holiday bird from a sales slow down into a sales accelerant.
