A BIG, HEART-FELT THANK YOU
Dear Friends, I am overwhelmed by your responses. A record number of you responded in a touching fashion to my brief post on the 50th anniversary of my mother's demise. That's because you care for, and revere, your mothers, which is a sign of spiritual health and human vitality. I salute each one of you. We must run counter to the heartlessly selfish culture rising in our midst that reduces people to mere functions and, when they are no longer materially useful, turns them into burdens.
My sisters and brothers in law spent a couple of days with me. All the while we were re-living our cherished memories centred on our mother. What a soul-reviving time we had! Each one of them said, "Our mother lives. She looks after us still."
Mothers, my friends, are immortal.
God bless all of you.
