Thanks to all those working critical jobs

Last night I turned on the light in my kitchen, ran the water in my sink, and then began to prepare dinner.

Then it dawned on me. I’m able to do all these things (and watch Netflix) because, even though I’m at home with my family there are still people out there working to bring electricity, clean water, food, and bandwidth to my home, and take away the dirty water and garbage.

So thank you to all those people who are “staying at their posts”, climbing up power poles and down manholes, pulling a 12 hour graveyard shift at the local wastewater treatment plant, keeping our roads safe, responding to 911 calls, and stocking shelves at midnight so the rest of us can get through this pandemic. Your families should be proud of you!!
