As 2022 draws to a close and I am beginning to get mentally ready for a very exciting 2023 - I wanted to thank all female scientists, engineers and friends who have given me time, collaborated, supported, helped, shaped, created, debated, made me think, laugh and learn.

Helen Balmforth , Heidi Mottram, May Winfield , Karis Brummitt , Lauren Seabrook and Suzanne McLaughlin ?for supporting and advising me and team?#NUAR?throughout the year - without all your cooperation and steer we wouldn't be where we are. When we roll out the system in April you all own a slice of it!

Thanks for all the conversations over the year and for striving to deliver better information and knowledge about the subsurface to mitigate and adapt to climate change - it was great to see most of you this year and I look forward to seeing you all again (some in Copenhagen!!), 2023 will be a cracking year!
Thanks to all my friends and colleagues in the academic and private sectors who have taken time to talk to me this year about all things data sharing, digital transformation and change management ( Laura Mills , Sarah Rock , Alexandra Bolton OBE , Miranda Sharp , Melissa Zanocco OBE , Maria King , Helen Reeves , Anne Kemp OBE , Laura Sandys CBE , Yalena Coleman , Erin Walsh ), geothermal energy and ground models ( Asal Bidarmaghz and Ruchi Choudhary) smarter regulation and the urban planning system ( Loretta Tann , Wei Yang , Tara Clinton , Dr Pauleen Lane CBE PhD MBA BSc FICE ) and importantly: urban trees with Sue James ?and Emma Ferranti !
Special shout outs go to Pauliina Rajala ?for helping to arrange our fact finding mission to Helsinki, Deborah Webster for making me think about values and my career choices, Shelley Copsey for the walks, listening and all the good advice, Julia Armstrong D'Agnese for being such a positive force towards creating a global digital twin, Paula Dorman CIPR Chart.PR ?for being my buddie all the giggles over the year,? jeanine breaker for reminding me of the importance of the arts in science and giving different perspectives,? Claire Milverton ?for being an inspiring leader, Helen Lord and Carolyn Delehanty ?for caring passionately about vulnerable customers and finally? Jacky Huson and Alison Sutherland for all their work with me for the Flood Forum and the Scouts in the town.
Finally there are my colleagues and friends in the? And last but not least to my wife Katharine at The Bramley Newspaper for keeping everything running on the home front and tolerating the continuous the pipes and cables talk.
PS: a few men (many in orange jackets it seems) were involved in my life too :-)
