Thanking My 34,000 LinkedIn Allies: The Story of Our Shared Success

My journey, enriched by 34,000 allies from various corners of the globe, is a testament to the power of united efforts and shared success. Initially hesitant to embrace the full potential of digital networking, my perspective shifted radically upon joining the UN Secretary-General's climate support team. The launch of a global campaign for a climate agreement underscored the necessity of community for every individual and cause. This realization marked the beginning of a more intentional approach to networking and collaboration, setting the stage for impactful engagements across the world.

My tenure at the World Bank further illuminated the value of my growing network. Leading courses aimed at fostering low-emission and climate-resilient development across developing nations, I found an invaluable resource in my connections. These global allies kept me informed of their progress, directly influencing the design and local impact of our global programs. It was clear that these connections were more than mere contacts; they were partners in progress.

Embarking on FinTech4Good introduced risks, but the robust support from my network transformed potential obstacles into avenues of opportunity and celebration. Whether brainstorming ideas, securing resources, or amplifying our impact, the role of this community was irreplaceable. Their engagement not only propelled the initiative forward but also opened doors I had yet to knock on.

The establishment of AI 2030 marked a significant pivot towards mainstreaming responsible AI. In just a year, it burgeoned into a vibrant community of over 500 experts dedicated to leveraging AI for the greater good. This initiative, rooted in the principles of Responsible AI, AI for All, and AI for Good, aims to mitigate the potential negative impacts of AI while maximizing its benefits for humanity. Witnessing the rapid growth and evolution of this community has been one of the most gratifying aspects of my journey.

As I reflect on this journey, my sense of pride is intertwined with deep gratitude. This is our shared success. The achievements of AI 2030 and every milestone reached along the way are as much a credit to my allies as they are to me. Together, we've created a movement poised for exponential growth, grounded in the belief that responsible AI can and should be a force for good.

As we stand at the 34,000-mark, it's clear that this is merely the beginning. The future beckons with promises of further achievements and breakthroughs, made possible by the strength of our community. Our collective journey towards empowering responsible AI adoption is far from over; in fact, it's just getting started.
