IT'S THANKFUL THURSDAY!!

Experiments in Theater is a small, Rhode Island-based sole proprietorship that relies on partnerships with local community organizations to succeed. As we approach the giving season, we wanted to acknowledge these partnerships far and wide and advocate for our collaborators by urging you to support them in the coming weeks.

We know it's been a tough year for so many of us and, if your family is like mine, you've relied on music, films, show tunes, online enrichment programs, Zoom book clubs and live streams for a break from the chaos of 2020.

We will still need these diversions in 2021 and beyond and it will take all of us to keep the doors of our community arts organizations open.

With that said, it is with much gratitude and love that I offer a THANKFUL THURSDAY spotlight on the Greenwich Odeum! The Odeum was recently featured in the book "100 Things to do in Rhode Island Before You Die" by Robert Curley. Beyond their continued support of Experiments in Theater's youth programs, the Odeum has welcomed popular touring acts like The Bacon Brothers, Tiffany, Blue Oyster Cult, Ricky Lee Jones and Gin Blossoms. The nearly 100 year old theater has been renovated for the safety and comfort of the patrons but still retains the aesthetic of a classic, "Main Street, America" theater.

Even with the limitations being imposed on all performing arts venues due to the ongoing health crisis, the Odeum continues to find creative and safe ways to engage with the community and bring live performance to Rhode Islanders. We need them. And they need you.
