Thankful at Thanksgiving

Thankful at Thanksgiving

As we approach Thanksgiving in the US, I find myself reflecting upon what I’m grateful for. Here’s a few of the things I’m thankful for in 2024:

1.???? I am blessed beyond measure and wildly grateful for my family. I have a loving husband, three kids, step-son, step-daughter, son-in-law, and a daughter-in-law. They make me proud, never fail to make me laugh, and bring a big smile to my face. I love them unconditionally, as they do me. I’d do anything for them.

2.???? I LOVE my job. I get to do what I’m best at (selling) for an amazing company, Amazon Web Services. It’s fun, and I start work each day with a smile on my face (after a cup of strong black coffee).

3.???? I’m surrounded by extremely bright and creative co-workers who go out of their way for me and our customers. They come from different backgrounds, cultures, and geographies. The one thing they all have in common is CUSTOMER OBSESSION.

4.???? Speaking of customers, I get to work with extremely intelligent and interesting people at successful companies who deliver amazing products, services, and solutions to their end customers. I adore helping customers solve problems, save money and resources, build and sell disruptive solutions, and transform their businesses digitally. I know it’s called work, but it’s FUN.

5.???? Our partners are world-class, I’m super grateful for them! Without partners we wouldn’t be near the company we are. Similar to my co-workers, and customers, they are brilliant, and focused on making our joint customers successful. Teamwork makes the dream work!

6.???? I’m thankful for my friends. Both near and far, new and old friends, they are all a blessing to me and put joy and sparkle in my life.

7.???? I’m grateful for my health. I rarely get sick, I have boundless energy, and (best of all), I still run. Running is a life-long hobby, and while I don’t run the distances I used to, I still lace up the shoes and get after it several times a week when I’m not getting my butt kicked at cross-fit.

8.???? I’m thankful for the places I’ve traveled to this year. There’s too many to name, between work and personal travel, but a few shout-outs go to Hannover, Munich, Vienna, Prague, and Budapest. New experiences, food, people, and places make me happy!

9.???? I’ll end with the biggest thing I’m thankful for… my new husband! After a painful divorce, followed quickly by the passing of my former husband, I spent a while (it seemed like a LONG while) grieving, buried in work, dating the wrong men. Then I met my soul mate! He’s kind, warm, funny, and loves me, our kids, and my Pupster George. What more could a girl ask for?

Now, it’s your turn, what are you thankful for?
