Thankful for less and not more

Thankful for less and not more

As our thoughts turn to giving and gratitude at this time of year, I’m in awe of the global movement of heroic scientists, entrepreneurs, investors, builders, engineers, and activists who are committed to changing how we humans go about life on?Earth.

With every month hotter than the?one last year, and each year the hottest in recorded history, humanity needs collective action.

I'm thankful we’re not alone and proud to be part of a collective of companies hard at work transforming the concrete industry from one of the world’s largest emitters to one of its biggest carbon repositories.

I'm also excited to introduce our inaugural Concrete Ideas newsletter — scroll down for a half-dozen 'hot takes' on climate news we've been Slacking, along with a few of our own milestones, starting with this series of CarbonBuilt 'firsts':

  1. The first commercial-scale deployment of our technology
  2. First commercial production of ultra-low carbon concrete?blocks
  3. A technical milestone in the commercial production of cement-free,?near-zero emissions concrete blocks
  4. And the first-ever installation of our blocks in a commercial project:

Here's a mid-November sneak peek at where our concrete blocks are going. We're proud to see they'll support first responders in a new Montgomery, Alabama firehouse.

As one of the CarbonBuilt team members who worked in #Climatetech long before it was called Cleantech, this time feels different.

Now, there’s real momentum behind the critical first steps to reduce the use of carbon-intensive cement and trap atmospheric carbon in the buildings of today, tomorrow, and forever.

Working together, we can bend the carbon trendline, knowing that it won’t be easy or?quick.

Let's find renewed strength in our numbers, purpose, and passion as we head into the holiday season.?

All of us at CarbonBuilt are grateful to be on this journey with?you.

Sincerely,

Rahul Shendure CarbonBuilt CEO

Canada says it can fight climate change AND continue to be a major oil-producing nation.

OUR TAKE: ?? Oh, Canada, please pick a lane — the math just doesn't work. Decarbonizing all the concrete in the world won't overcome the carbon emissions of oil and gas. Do we have to pick?one?
