Thank Your Cleaner Day 19/10

Today is Thank Your Cleaner Day, a special day to recognise, celebrate and thank the people who keep our workplaces and buildings clean, safe and hygienic.

Cleaners can sometimes be taken for granted. For a lot of people, it wasn't until the Coronavirus pandemic began that they started to realise the importance of keeping your surroundings clean and think about the people responsible for doing so.

At London Bridge City, we are lucky enough to have an incredible, dedicated team of cleaners, provided by Principle Cleaning Services. The team are always going the extra mile to complete a job, nothing is ever too much, and you can guarantee they will always have a smile on their face. At our most recent BRIDGE team awards, a clean(er) sweep was had, as four Principle team members received awards for dealing with various incidents across the Estate that required their support.

Alongside the daily operation, Principle Cleaning Services are constantly striving to be more sustainable. The initiatives they are working on include reducing the usage of consumables, reusing water through reverse osmosis, waste removal by barge and introducing uniform made from recycled plastic moving forward whilst recycling the old one in the process! Recently the team's efforts were recognised, and they were awarded 'Most Sustainable Team' by Principle's Sustainability Manager, Shannon Berry. What a fantastic achievement.

So be sure to thank your cleaners, not just today, but every day. We express our gratitude to the team, as without them, London Bridge City would not be what it is today.
