Thank you for your service
Memorial Day is a time in the US to remember those that have sacrificed for our freedoms. My father was one of those individuals - Benedetto Patrignani Jr, a Corporal in the US Army during the Korean War. My father was active in the local Veteran’s of Foreign Wars and every Memorial Day weekend we would all go out in the nearby cemetery and put flags on the gravestones of those that made the ultimate sacrifice for us all. This past weekend, I took my children to continue the tradition.
At GE Renewable Energy we have some amazing Veterans that are doing great things in the business. They are project managers helping to build the next wind power plant, commercial leaders closing the next deal, sourcing professionals negotiating global component shipments, risk managers helping us manage risks as we go into new countries, and the list goes on. This group of individuals has a silent camaraderie of commitment to each other, commitment to the team, and commitment to winning. When one member is down due to a health issue or illness in the family they swarm and protect their own. This is teamwork and commitment. We only win when we all win.
On this Memorial Day I’d like to recognize the amazing men and women in GE Renewable Energy and Digital Services who have done some much for our country and our business. Thank you for your service.
And may we all remember those that have fallen that have helped defend our freedoms.
