THANK YOU! WHO HELPED YOU GET WHERE YOU ARE?
THANK YOU !!!
You Truly Are Appreciated !
THANK YOU!
Thank you for all you do each and every day, and many of you, the early mornings and nights you work too. I am very proud to be part of an organization that includes people like all of you. Not only are you hard working, unbelievably smart and knowledgeable, people of integrity, but also in this role I have seen people with resiliency, perseverance, huge hearts, generosity, compassion, and love.
I am extremely humbled that you have the trust in me to share some of your dreams, your life stories, your heartaches, your past hurdles and your future hopes. Thank you.
Thank you again for all you do to help impact our success as an organization, to help make this be a great place to come to work, and most importantly, for the person you are.
With all that is going on in politics and the world in general, it is easy to focus on all that is negative. But look to your right, to your left, ahead and behind you – there are wonderful people in our lives at work and at home that are doing great things. Great things in the work they do, in the way they may help and support you, and in the way they may care for and love you. How often do we say thank you, especially to those closest to us.
I know I don’t do it nearly enough. I’ll give a nice tip to a server, or go out of my way to do something for someone if there’s something in it for me, or I’ll give a quick “thanks” as I rush in the opposite direction. But what do I do when no one’s expecting anything.
In my opinion, a heartfelt look me in the eye thank you, a short note, a word of encouragement, a truly inquisitive “how are you doing”, or a big hug and word of appreciation, goes a long way. What is it for you, how do you like to get thanked or shown you are appreciated (let people know that).
How do you feel when you get thanked. I know I feel great. I usually feel even better when I give thanks to someone else as I love to see their reaction. It might be their sense of pride they then have, the feeling they feel cared for, or that it makes them feel purposeful. So why don’t we do it more often. Most all the experts I read say gratitude is one of the biggest keys to happiness and success. So think about finding a way to thank someone today and everyday.
Again, THANK YOU, you have all truly been a big reason for both; any success I may have had, and even more so, the happiness I know I’ve had.
Brad

TIPS ON THANKING/ENCOURAGING PEOPLE
________________________________________________________________________
SOME WAYS I DO/HAVE THANKED PEOPLE: (I am still trying to get better at the face to face thank yous and still working to always thank others more and more)
- Write Thank you Notes for various reasons
- Send Thanksgiving cards with hand written personal notes
- Send Birthday cards to people I really care for (my way of saying
thank you for being here) with hand written notes. My cards all
start with my tag so they know its from me (I hope you have a great
day and an even better year ahead-got that from my Aunt Norma
whose tag was "Just Us"), then I say something that's special about
that person to me, ending with Make it a Year of Wonder (defined to
me as a feeling of seeing someone or something that is very
surprising, beautiful, mysterious, new, or amazing)
- When I was 50 sent a thank you to the 50 people that had
most impacted my life
- Keep a gratitude journal - I write one thing every day I love about my
wife
- Write in a journal - write a few other things I am grateful for in life
- Try to say something encouraging to people: i.e. you have a
great smile, you look great, that was an awesome idea, etc
- Try and always tell those close to me that I LOVE THEM
