Thank you, Veterans!

Once again the fall is upon us and so is Veterans Day. For me as an immigrant it is especially important to give thanks to the men and women who are serving or have served in our military, putting their lives on the line so we can all enjoy the freedoms of this great country. This goes back to the Revolutionary War when hope was but a spark to the burning desire for freedom and motivated people to pick up arms to fight for their beliefs, and it will continue for as long as we keep the spirit of freedom and independence alive in our society.

While I am trying to voice my thanks in person to everybody I encounter in uniform during my travels throughout the year, I want to take today to emphasize that everybody who volunteered for the Armed Services has my utmost respect. Go ahead and thank a veteran - you know them. They are all around us in our families, circle of friends and neighborhoods. They deserve to be recognized any given day, but especially today!
