Thank you Veoneer!
"Nothing worthwhile comes easily. Work, continuous work and hard work, is the only way to accomplish results that last." — Hamilton Holt

Thank you Veoneer!

After 5 years it is time to depart, time for me to head out on new adventures.

The role of an HW project team lead, who works toward the automotive industry can be challenging. OEM’s are notoriously good at managing their sub-suppliers and making sure that everything is done by the book. And it’s a big book, it’s got plenty of references to standards, a wealth of lessons learned requirements that all must be applied to, in this case, a pretty sophisticated vision system.

So, in the aftermath, is there anything more satisfying for a project leader than to successfully close down a project? Especially when you can conclude that you actually had fun. There were of course challenges, deadlines, audits, joint reviews, etc., etc. But when you find yourself leading and working with people taking pride in everything they do, brilliant people who can grasp every detail in standards, who can break down requirements, and people who never would take shortcuts. Then you get autonomy, you get to a spot where your focus can be on adding true value to the teams. Fighting their battles, provide clarity, setting realistic targets, and just do everything needed to remove obstacles and distractions. Veoneer has given me so many things to be grateful for, but the one that stands out the most has been the opportunity to lead and work with some of the brightest people I have ever encountered.

So to all of you who were a part of the project, thank you for making it look easy!

For my friends at VCC, I will always appreciate the team we had. The relationship we established, that we so successfully based on mutual trust and true (and pretty awesome) cooperation. The way we worked together was simply one of the biggest contributors leading us to where we are today. It’s been a ride. And of course, congrats on all the rewards!

Tack Thomas f?r tiden vi fick tillsammans p? Veoneer.
