Dear friends,
My heartfelt thanks to all of you who made it to the opening reception of quiet vignettes last Saturday despite the snow storm. It meant a lot. It was very special to have you there and to share our work with you.
I know it is quite a time commitment but if are in the neighbourhood come back and experience the space and installation during daylight when it is quiet - on your own. The collages I created for this show and Lauren’s dreamy foraged foliage of our winter landscape dance gracefully with each other.
The intimate and charming space of Black Cat Art Space is filled with small gentle moments, and subtle movements. The luminous rays of the sun create beautiful tiny rainbows on the works and on the feathery foliage! And as you walk, the floating milkweed follow you and dance around you! For now, we have created a small sanctuary where you can slow down for a moment.
We dreamed of creating moments that are subtle and serene. That dream is fulfilled in quiet vignettes. And I am just content!
Come and share these moments with us and spread the word.
The show runs until Sunday, January 26 as part of DesignTO Festival. The gallery is open 1-6 pm. Black Cat Art Space is on 1286 Dundas Street West.
With love,
anahita
