Today, I am starting a new role as Chief Customer Officer at Qualified, a certified ISV partner with Salesforce. Here's why I could not wait to join this team after 13 years at the mothership.

Today I’m excited to share what’s next.

I’ve spent the last thirteen years at Salesforce, and boy has it been an incredible ride! When I joined there were 1,500 employees and we were a small but mighty team who had a mission to take the world by storm with cloud computing. Back then, no one even knew what cloud computing was. Fast-forward to today, Salesforce has 60,000+ employees and is truly a force to be reckoned with. 

So what’s next? As some people say, “you never really leave Salesforce.” Well, they’re right. I’m staying right in the Salesforce Ohana. 

Today I begin my journey as Chief Customer Officer at Qualified.com. Qualified is Salesforce through and through. It’s purpose-built for Salesforce customers, built on the Salesforce platform, funded by Salesforce Ventures, a certified ISV partner, and is founded by my good friends and old Salesforce colleagues Kraig Swensrud and Sean Whiteley

So What Is Qualified? 

Qualified is a conversational sales and marketing platform. Simply put, Qualified tells your sales team when hot buyers and target accounts are on your site, and opens the door for an instant sales meeting. The way I explain it to my mom is, imagine if you’re a physical retail store selling clothes. Got it? Well, when people walk into your store, you can see who they are and what they’re interested in. You can go up to them and ask them if they have any questions or need help finding what they are looking for. Well, what happens on your website? Wouldn’t you want your sales reps to have that ability to intelligently engage with buyers at that moment in time? That’s Qualified. 

And it’s Salesforce to the core. So you can use your CRM data to power super targeted, intelligent conversations. The result? More leads, more pipeline, more closed deals. Boom. I’ve seen a lot of technology, and this is a silver bullet for companies that run on Salesforce. 

I’m joining a rocketship: 800% YoY growth, a rapidly expanding team, and a rockstar customer base, including Adobe, Bitly, SurveyMonkey, ThoughtSpot, VMWare – plus lots of customers in the Salesforce ISV ecosystem – Ownbackup, ringDNA, and TalkDesk, to name a few. Qualified is on fire. ??

As I look back on the past 13 years, I feel so fortunate to have been able to touch so many different parts of the business - marketing, product, sales, customer success, and partners. So many great memories...so many great stories to share. I got to work alongside some of the brightest minds in marketing and paint the vision for our customers on keynote stages around the world. We saw new products and campaigns go from whiteboard to reality and had so much fun along the way (sometimes too much fun). I then was able to tackle the world of UX and get even closer to our product development, working on initiatives like the new mobile app at the time, Salesforce1, and our lightning design framework. As Salesforce exploded, I got to help align our entire go to market function and enable an A+ sales and customer success organization. Then I had the privilege of taking Trailhead to the partner community and spreading the Ohana love. 

A big differentiator of Salesforce is the culture...the people...the Ohana. There have been so many incredible folks that have impacted my journey along the way, and I’m forever grateful. I want to thank so many leaders who are all still part of Salesforce and so many other Salesforce alumni who are leaders in the industry.

Throughout my career at Salesforce, what I have always loved about my job is the innovation. Salesforce was always one step ahead of the rest – the move to the cloud, the rise of mobile, the social enterprise, the internet of things, artificial intelligence – we looked forward and embraced the “constant and never-ending change” (as Marc says) of the tech industry.

That passion for innovation is what drew me to Qualified.  

Qualified is Changing B2B Sales & Marketing

Qualified is fundamentally changing the way B2B companies think about pipeline generation. Qualified believes the corporate website is no longer just for marketing. It's now the place for inside sales teams to meet with buyers at the exact moment they're ready to engage in a sales conversation. This is going to change B2B sales & marketing forever. 

It feels a bit like I’m going home. I get to rejoin a team that I truly believe in. Co-founders Kraig and Sean are longtime friends and extraordinary entrepreneurs. They build great products and are hyper-focused on customer success. In my new role as CCO, I’ll be leading a best in class customer team, and working with customers day in and day out to make sure they are crushing goals with conversational sales and marketing.
