Thank You, Rockets

Rocket Nation,

I’d like to thank you for the honor of serving as president of The University of Toledo the last five years.

We’re able to celebrate a long list of accomplishments, all made possible thanks to our partnership within the Rocket community. The passion and dedication of UToledo’s family of alumni, donors and other supporters have helped fuel the University to where it is today. Thank you.

While challenges remain, I am confident that UToledo’s future is brighter than ever.

We can take pride in the success of our students and the highest graduation and retention rates in our University’s history. Nationally, our reputation continues to grow stronger because of our pursuit of new research, treatments and discoveries.

Our community is a welcome environment for all learners as we have improved programs and training in diversity, inclusion and sexual assault awareness. And through our Tuition Guarantee, UToledo is providing students and families with value and strong return on their educational investment. 

The COVID-19 global pandemic has posed new challenges for all of us. Every person and industry has been impacted, and higher education is not exempt. I am proud of how we responded to ensure UToledo’s academic mission continued forward. 

While challenges remain, I am confident that UToledo’s future is brighter than ever.
