Thank You, Rick Gage

Thank You, Rick Gage

It is with a full heart and deep gratitude that I celebrate the retirement of our dear friend and Compassionate Operations Officer, Rick Gage. This moment is filled with both joy and a touch of sadness as I reflect on the incredible journey we've shared.

Rick has been a long-time friend of A Human Workplace and a steadfast supporter of our mission to bring more love and less fear to organizations.?

He was an original participant in the "A Human Workplace Seattle" gatherings sponsored by the Governor's Office, and during the pandemic, he joined our online AHW community, always checking in with me as a new CEO and offering invaluable support and wisdom.?

When we needed it most, Rick stepped into the role of the COO, bringing his unique blend of compassion and professionalism to every interaction. He strengthened our connections with clients, ensuring they received the personalized care and attention they deserved. Rick has been a trusted advisor, standing by my side through the highs and lows, always asking, "What would love do now?" His presence has been a beacon of kindness and integrity, not just for me, but for everyone he has worked with.

Rick sees it as his responsibility to amplify voices other than his own. In his own words, “My focus is always to use my presence and privilege to ensure that other people in the room are heard”.

Rick captured the essence of embodying love in the phrase, "First BE it!" reminding us that we can't just talk about love but we need to live it ourselves. He spearheaded that as our Compassionate Operations Office, which he coined, saying, "After all, why can't operations be compassionate?" Why indeed! Rick showed us all the way this could be true.?

Rick will be missed at AHW, but in his retirement, he is choosing to build community and support the Center for a Loving Workplace, our non-profit organization founded last year! So, Rick's not done changing the world yet, and I'm grateful for this!

Please join me in honoring Rick Gage , sharing your appreciation, and expressing your love for him.

Congratulations, Rick! Thank you for all the love you've poured into AHW and into my life. We wish you endless happiness in this next season of your life!

With Love,

Renee ??

It sounds like a lot of great causes are flourishing from beautiful hearts making a difference. Congratulations to Rick for all he's done and will continue doing and AHW for choosing Love as the beginning motivator for helping other's see their goals come to fruition. Hardy, applause to all! Cheers! ?????????
