Thank you Novoda ??

After co-founding and serving as Managing Director at Novoda for 12 years, as of Monday, my co-founder, Carl has assumed the role of Managing Director while I am setting out to pursue new endeavours. 

Leading Novoda's culture has opened the world to me and has been my greatest honour. I'm really going to miss greeting friendly faces every morning over 'wormholes' and attending random hack and tells every afternoon. I am very proud of all we’ve shared in and created together. Together we’ve touched the lives of so many millions and developed our very own style of delivery. To think, when Carl and I started Novoda in 2008 we just wanted to take part in the ‘story of Mobile’. There were so few users to appeal to with Mobile software that it was just great to find others who believed in it's transformative power. Today’s Novoda continues to successfully bring together like-minded and inspirational people who believe in an optimistic, technologically enabled future. In our Products and through communities like Droidcon, Londroid and Design Lab, we’ve united many thousands of people! It’s been incredible to take part in so many stories, thank you to all the customers who have continually welcomed us into their challenges. Building strategies, teams and processes, changing the habits of millions across such diverse industries has been an incredible privilege. It continues to spark joy within me when I, almost daily, see commuters, friends and family using the software we've built together. 

Novoda continues to open up the world up to new generations of talented professionals. They say the only real way to 'see' a place is to live there, well it's in sharing and living within our clients’ problems that have taken us around the world, so many times; working, laughing and playing hard. Sometimes we’re helping a team through a tight situation, other times we are establishing the foundations of a businesses to come. In either case, we've brought missing skills and experience to help generate a better outcome and making people's lives brighter through technology. So many marriages, dogs, babies and beautiful offices full of energy! Thank you Novoda. Thank you, everyone. I am excited to see where Carl’s leadership will evolve Novoda into a new decade!

New Endeavours? Art, Asia and blockchain

• Art: I foresee a rising crisis of personal identity. Those being displaced by automation and a polarised economy will feel it most acutely but it is a matter which concerns us all. Stripped of servitude, who are any of us apart from our occupations? How might we choose to capture and share that identity? Promoting Art as a means for expression is my personal mission. When ready, I will share some new ventures intended to research and aid what I see as an urgent discussion. Meanwhile, I will be joining the board at Guts gallery to further their very noble goal of supporting underrepresented contemporary voices. Let me know if you are interested in learning more about contemporary Art. It's hugely exciting to become involved in a world very different from Tech & Startups. I'd be happy to introduce anyone who even takes even a passing interest.
• Asia: I look forward to exploring more of Asia's incredible scale, first hand while learning Mandarin. Please do let me know if you are aware of interesting opportunities in Digital Product Leadership as I’m seeking positions which might allow me time in Singapore, Shanghai or Shenzhen. 
• Blockchain: It falls in and out of fashion with the press, but Blockchain technologies remain a groundbreaking technology with many stories to come.
