A Thank You Note

In 2014, I embarked on a new journey - into unknown territory. I started my career in 2005 with one of the best names in the industry - 印孚瑟斯BPO (back then, Progeon). The following year, I switched to another big brand - Tech Mahindra , where I spent over eight years working with some of the most amazing people who were also my mentors both at the client (BT) end and the company end. One Dec evening in 2013, I received a call from a job consultant asking if I'd be interested in moving back to #Vadodara, my hometown, to work with a "start-up." After giving it much thought, discussing it with my family, and having a lengthy interview with the MD, Kushal Kirankumar Rao , I finally decided to accept the offer.

My journey into this unknown territory of a start-up company, BOREK SOLUTIONS GROUP , began in June 2014. I was the 11th or 12th employee in the company, and now I am amazed to see the company has over 100 employees! I have made some great friends and colleagues over here, which include Sheel Ruparelia , Hetal Patel , Huseni Vohra , Sripriya VinodKumar , Ganesh Chauhan , Vishal Gosai , Shine Fernandes , Jinni George , Hoshang Bhesania , Meena Dholakia , khushbu ramnani , Jay Kansara , Chirag P , Dhruvil Patel , Priyanka D. , Jimit Shah , Ruchi Brahmbhatt , Sana Vhora , Cheta Upadhyay , Mauni Patel , Gunjan Goel and many more... BITS is also the place where I was able to collaborate with two other great entrepreneurs - Henning Borek and Konstantin Borek . I was able to build a relationship with the likes of Felix Richter , Sebastian Senftleben , Josh Brazil , Charlie Ungashick , Jett McCandless , Hariesh Manaadiar , Priyanka Ann Saini and Charlie Pesti , and some great onsite colleagues like Arne Bittig , Arnaud Mancel , Jenna Slagle, Patrick-Jay Valentine , Svitlana Slavina , Martina J. , Anke Fleischer , Tucker Allen , Portia LaMotte , Lauren Fischer , Chloe Riesenberg , Marco le Grand , and many more. Forgive me if I have not named someone... each and every one of you are special to me. Thank you for everything. Thank you for all the opportunities. God bless you all.

I was blessed to be able to don multiple hats during these 17 years of my career - customer support executive, developer, designer, business analyst, digital marketer, and finally, data analyst. I got to learn multiple tools and techniques. I understood what it means to be a leader and a mentor. All in all, I have learned a lot and have many memories to last for a lifetime. Now, after being laid off from work, I suddenly find myself in uncharted territory again. I might probably never understand the dynamics behind a company's decision to lay off its employees who have given their sweat and blood in helping the company grow, but I know they have their "valid" reasons. When I kept getting those fantastic opportunities all these years, I never asked God - "Why me?" instead, I praised Him and kept moving ahead. Even now, I have decided not to question God but rather move ahead, trusting Him with my future. As the prophet Job from the #Bible famously said during his times of trouble - "the Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord!".

Just want to say - Thank you, dear friends, for all your encouraging words, love, and support in this tough time of mine. Also, all the best to all my colleagues who have also been laid off. It is a dark night, yes. Soon, "the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in his wings,." Just trust in God and make the most of the "exclusive" time that you have with your family right now. We will all be again busy working for a new company or maybe our own company.
