Students in our internship play a key role in Smeal Alumni Career Services' mission to reach out and connect with recruiters and alumni who visit campus to recruit and/or volunteer their time. Additionally, our office seeks to connect and share information through online platforms such as LinkedIn, Brazen (online networking) and Zoom (webinars).

Every semester the interns are given challenges and always strive to meet goals and help our office. The students take on this opportunity as well as being full time students, many with additional activities in fraternities, sororities and business organizations.

At the wrap-up meeting, we discussed what the students learned from the experience by going around the room and sharing knowledge while building a slide. Also, the head interns are responsible for compiling stats about what was accomplished by the team for the semester. Look to see who won special awards!

THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK AND BEST OF LUCK!

This is our mantra which, by the way, was created by one of my summer interns in 2015:

"A Great Hire Starts with a Strong Foundation!" All the interns would make great hires and many of them already have company internships!

I wanted to giver a special shout out to Justin Massoumi! Justin came in later as our first associate interns gave up the position. He hit the ground running and was key in helping make our December 7th webinar a great success. Also, Kathleen McGrath was with me for every webinar in Fall 2016 to help navigate our new platform Zoom. Lastly, Erin Thal, is now a special projects intern. She is helping to develop a score sheet for the interns so we can better track their progress. All the head interns were excellent, Zareen Fazleabas has been in the program for three semesters and Emeline Grace for two. As above Analise Linton was given a special award. I wish I could have given a special award to each intern!
